I believe this is absolutely the BEST BURGER EVER. We love a good burger and this one is so amazing, we’ve had it 3 times in the last month! The burst of flavor is amazing and I found myself wishing I had room to eat a second one! As much as I love bold flavors, thick strips of bacon or blue cheese or jalapeños on a burger, there is just something about this combo that makes me savor every bite.
Begin with a basic burger. You can form your own or use preformed Sirloin burgers. I recommend using beef for your mixture, adding salt, pepper, oregano and garlic, to taste. If you are using preformed, brush both sides with a mixture of salt, pepper, minced garlic and oregano, in a little bit of olive oil. If you like spice, add some red pepper flakes too.
I serve this burger on a garlic bun, so I mix up some of the garlic oil mixture above. Then while the burgers are grilling, I brush the buns with the oil and grill them until lightly toasted.
When the burgers are done, remove from heat and add a slice of Brie on each burger. Set them aside for a couple of minutes until the Brie begins to melt.
Place some shredded lettuce on your bottom bun, then some thinly sliced red onion. Next add the burger, then top with fresh basil leaves and spicy sweet peppers.
*I buy Peppadew peppers, which are tangy and sweet, but I add a little bit of red pepper flakes in the brine for a bit of spice.
The garlic…basil…brie…peppers & onions just blend so incredibly well.
Best served with sweet potato fries or baked garlic fries!
(In fact, I would even eat this burger with baked onion rings and my buffalo dipping sauce because I love them both so much!)
Enjoy!
