All natural strawberry watermelon popsicles are a delicious and refreshing summer treat! Now that the weather is warmer, the kids have been asking for cool treats. After talking about it for a couple of years, I finally bought some popsicle molds. I want a healthy alternative to the popular frozen sugar, water and food coloring treats.
So here is my first (of many to come) frozen creation:
All Natural Strawberry Watermelon Popsicles
There are just THREE ingredients! Watermelon, strawberries, raw honey. Thats it!
Finely dice watermelon and load into your popsicle mold.
Next I pureed about 1 cup of watermelon, 6 large strawberries and a large tablespoon of raw honey in my blender. I poured it over the diced watermelon and filled the molds.
Freeze 3-4 hours or overnight. Carefully remove from mold and serve. I couldn’t wait until the kids got out of school! So good, so {simple}!
This is one “treat” that I would say YES to anytime. No added sugar, no chemicals. Its just fruit and a small amount of raw honey.
I think this recipe would be excellent with finely chopped basil or mint leaves mixed in. Next time I will make at least one with mint for me!
I’m already starting to plan out my next popsicle creation…
