Toffee Chocolate Apple Nachos have become one of my kid’s favorite treat! To switch things up a bit, I decided to surprise them by topping their apple slices with chocolate, caramel and toffee, instead of peanut butter and they LOVED it! This is so easy to make and always a big hit. Great for parties, potlucks, sleepovers, after school snacks!
Toffee Chocolate Apple Nachos
- Apple Slices
- Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Heath Toffee Bits
- Chocolate Almond Bark, 1 Square
- Vanilla Almond Bark, 1 Square
- Caramel Ice Cream Topping
Directions:
Arrange apple slices on your plate
Drizzle the apples with a small amount of Caramel topping
Meanwhile, melt 1 square of the Chocolate Almond Bark in the microwave on high for 20 seconds. Add 10 second intervals until melted, then stir. Using a fork, drizzle the chocolate over the apples. Now repeat this process with the Vanilla Almond Bark. In between the layers of the vanilla and chocolate toppings, add a couple of spoonfuls of the mini chips and toffee bits. Place in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes, then serve! Enjoy this super yummy treat!
Here is an Apple TIP for you: To prevent your sliced apples from turning brown, once sliced, place the apples in a bowl or ziplock bag with cold water. Add 1-2 teaspoons of lemon juice and allow to soak for 10-15 minutes in the refrigerator. Drain and pat dry with paper towel when done. Now your apples will stay fresh looking and not turn brown. I do this for school lunches all the time. My kids comment that their friends bring brown apple slices to school. (yucky) I have heard that you can also do this by adding a teaspoon of white vinegar to the cold water, but I have not tried it. My kids have never wanted to take the chance of their apples tasting like vinegar so we haven’t tried it. For the most part, you really don’t taste the lemon juice on the apple slices, but there have been some times where I forgot to drain them right away and they soaked for 30 minutes or more. The flavor wasn’t strong, but present. They didn’t mind too much because they usually prefer Granny Smith apples which are a bit tart anyway.

Thanks Rini! A few years back, my friend told me about using chopped Butterfinger bars and caramel over apple slices and it evolved from there!
