Here is a very simple way to dust your lampshade. I’ve always had a hard time with this especially with softer fabric lamp shades. I’ve tried vacuuming with the hose and brush attachment, but that isn’t always convenient.
We have a little dog who jumps up on the top of the sofa to nap when we aren’t home. While I was cleaning up the hair she left behind with my lint roller, it hit me. Would this work on the lamp shades too? And it did work, very well. I have a variety of lampshades in the house and use this method for most of them. Some of the more delicate shades could be damaged from a lint roller so be very careful. If you have tiny beads, sparkles or any other embellishment, I would not recommend this method. The adhesive could easily pull or remove them. I do not use a lint roller for “paper” shades either. Instead I use the vacuum or a duster. This is best for plain fabric lampshades.
