I recently received an HC12B Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier by Luma Comfort to review and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! Within 2 days of its arrival, one of my children woke up with a cold and cough. Now when you have a runny nose, dry air is not your friend. It just plugs you up even more and you’re guaranteed to wake up miserable. I immediately brought the humidifier into her room turned it on. Within a short time, I could feel moisture in the room! I finally got her settled back to sleep and the moisture in the air helped in easing the cough and kept her nasal passages from drying out.
One of the things I like most about this humidifier is it’s appearance. This does not look like your typical humidifier. In fact, it doesn’t look like a humidifier at all! The design is sleek and modern. It beautifully blends into any room and looks more like a vase, than a small appliance! It is operated by a small remote (shaped like a drop of water!), but can also be adjusted on the unit itself.
The remote not only turns the unit on and off, but it also controls the outflow of mist. It holds 2.5 gallons and will cover up to 650 sq ft. The tank has a demineralization cartridge, which prevents lime scale and mineral build up. There are 8 mist settings and can operate up to 45 hours before needing a refill. And it is nearly silent! The last humidifier we owned was so noisy and it sometimes prevented my children from easily falling asleep.
It was very easy to set up. The HC12B comes with 3 different height options. Depending on where you will place the unit or how high up you would like moisture to travel.
I have since moved the humidifier to my own bedroom and have been using it fairly regularly. Some changes that I have noticed is that I haven’t been waking up at night with a dry mouth. My lips don’t feel as dry as they did before and overall, neither does my skin!

I’ve had a few units thus far and this one is my favorite. I absolutely love my new Luma cool mist humidifier because it is a great decorative piece and no one knows its humidifier and it is very quiet and runs several days without refilling it.

Best I’ve ever owned. and it looks amazing. I’ve had my Luma for a little over a year now. I use it in my small bedroom with the door closed during winter nights, because with a space heater also running in the room, the air gets very dry.
I agree! I also use it when we have the fireplace on. It can get pretty dry in the living room.
