Here is a twist on rice krispy treats, minus the rice krispies.
Oreo Marshmallow Treats
- 1 Bag Marshmallow
- 5 TBSP Butter
- 1 Package Oreo Cookies
Break down the Oreos either using a food processor or a large ziplok bag and a rolling pin and set aside.
Place marshmallows and butter in a saucepan and stir continuously(so it doesn’t burn) over med-low heat until melted.
Once melted, add the Oreo crumbs until well blended. Press into a 9 x 13 pan and cool completely. Once cooled, remove from pan and slice. I usually put the pan in the fridge before slicing to get clean edges. Store in an air-tight container and in a cool place or they may melt a bit. I find using a glass pan works very well and makes it very easy to remove from the pan.
Optional – While the mixture was still warm, I added mini chocolate chips and white sprinkles to the top so they would stick. Or you can dust with confectioners sugar instead. (they don’t look very pretty when plain, but still tastes great!)
